The 300 women

The 300 Women Playbook: how I find the women near your med spa who will book this month

By Mo, founder of IGX Marketing · October 22, 2026 · 9 minute read

It is 2 p.m. on a Tuesday. The treatment room is quiet. Your injector is on her phone. The machine you are still paying off sits under its cover.

You check the calendar again, like it might have changed.

I have heard some version of this from almost every med spa owner I talk to. And when I look at their numbers, I almost always find the same thing.

Nothing is wrong with the clinic. The treatments are good. The staff is good. The reviews are good.

There are just about 300 women nearby who would book this month, and they have never heard the clinic's name.

This post is how I find them.

The problem is smaller than it feels

When the calendar is empty, it feels like you need a flood. Thousands of new people. Viral posts. A billboard.

You don't.

Here is the thing I learned after six years of running Meta ads for aesthetic clinics. The gap between a quiet week and a full one is small. For most single location med spas, it is somewhere around 40 to 60 new prepaid bookings a month.

Forty to sixty women. That is it.

And those women come from a pool that is also small. A few hundred women within driving distance who want what you sell, right now, this month.

I call them the 300 women. The exact number in your area will be different. But the idea holds. Your growth is sitting inside a few hundred women in your zip code. You just need to reach them in the right way.

Step 1: Count the women near you

I start every new clinic with a simple count. You can do this too. It takes about 20 minutes.

First, draw your circle. How far will a woman drive for your treatments? For most med spas, it is about 10 to 15 miles. In a big city, it can be less. In a small town, it can be more.

Second, count the women in that circle. The free Census tool at data.census.gov shows how many women live in each zip code, broken down by age. I look at women aged 30 to 60, because that is who books most aesthetic treatments.

Third, check what Meta can reach. Open Meta Ads Manager. Start a new ad set. Set the location to your circle and the age to 30 to 60, women only. On the right side, Meta shows an estimated audience size. That is how many of those women you can actually put an ad in front of.

Now you have a real number. Not a guess.

Step 2: Shrink it to the women who are ready

Not every woman in your circle wants a treatment this month. Most don't. That is fine.

Here is an example to show how the math works. These are made up numbers, not a real clinic.

Say your circle has 40,000 women aged 30 to 60. Say 1 in 100 of them is ready to book a treatment like yours in any given month. That is 400 women.

Your numbers will be different. The point is the shape of it. Out of tens of thousands of women, only a few hundred are ready right now. Those are the ones I go after.

I don't try to convince the other 39,600. They are not ready. Spending money to change their minds is the most expensive thing in marketing.

Step 3: Let the offer do the sorting

So how do you find the 400 inside the 40,000?

You don't search for them. You make them raise their hand.

The way I do it is with an offer. A clear, specific package for one treatment, shown to the whole circle. The women who are ready will stop scrolling. The women who are not will keep going.

The offer does the sorting for you.

This is why I care so much about what the offer is. A vague ad like "Book your glow up today" sorts nobody. A specific package for body sculpting, or a microneedling series, or a pigmentation plan speaks straight to the woman who has been thinking about that exact thing for months.

I wrote a full breakdown of how I build these offers in How I get more women in the door at a med spa.

Step 4: Ask for a deposit, not a form

This is the part most agencies get wrong. And it is the part that matters most.

Most agencies run an ad. It goes to a Facebook form. Someone calls the woman who filled it out. They try to get her to book. Sometimes she does. Most of the time she doesn't pick up.

Here is the part nobody tells you. Facebook learns from what you ask it for.

If you ask it for form fills, it finds women who fill out forms. Lots of them. Many fill out forms all day and never book anything.

If you ask it for deposits, it finds women who pay.

So I send the ad to a page where she can pick her time and pay a deposit right then. No phone tag. No chasing. She books herself, and she shows up, because she has money on the line.

Same ad money. A different woman walks in.

I go deeper on this in Prepaid bookings vs leads.

Step 5: Watch one number

Once ads are live, I watch one number above all others. Cost per booking.

Not cost per click. Not cost per lead. How much did it cost to get one woman to book and pay a deposit?

That number tells you if the whole system is working. If it is too high, something in the chain is off. Usually the offer or the page, not the clinic.

I explain how I track it, and why cost per lead lies to you, in Cost per booking: the only med spa ad number I watch.

What happens when she walks in

When a woman books herself and pays a deposit, she walks in different.

She chose you. She picked a time. She put money down. She is not "just looking."

That is the woman your team is great with. Clinic owners tell me all the time, "We can upsell anyone. We just need them in the door." I believe them. My job is getting her in the door. Your team takes it from there.

The whole playbook on one page

Here is everything above, short.

  1. Draw a 10 to 15 mile circle around your clinic.
  2. Count the women aged 30 to 60 inside it.
  3. Accept that only a few hundred are ready this month. Those are your 300 women.
  4. Show the whole circle one clear package offer, so the ready ones raise their hand.
  5. Send them to a page where they book and pay a deposit. No forms. No chasing.
  6. Watch cost per booking, not cost per lead.

That is the playbook. It is not magic. It is just aimed at the right women, and it asks them for the right thing.

Questions I get about this

What if my area is small? Then your 300 might be 150. That is fine. A small clinic does not need as many bookings to fill the week. The math scales down.

What if I already get referrals? Keep them. Referrals are great. But referrals only grow as fast as your current patients talk. The 300 women playbook reaches the women your patients don't know.

Will women really pay a deposit before they meet me? Yes. This surprises almost every clinic owner I work with. When the offer is clear and the page is simple, women book themselves and show up. Results vary by clinic and offer, but this is the core of everything I build.

Quick answers

How many new patients does a med spa really need each month?

Most med spas do not need thousands. When I do the math for a single location, the gap between a quiet calendar and a full one is usually 40 to 60 new prepaid bookings a month. That comes from a pool of a few hundred women nearby who are ready to book something you sell.

How do I find the women in my zip code who want my treatments?

Start with how many women aged 30 to 60 live within a 10 to 15 mile drive. Census data gives you that. Then use the audience size estimate in Meta Ads Manager to see how many of them Facebook and Instagram can reach. From there, an offer and a deposit page do the sorting for you.

Why use a deposit instead of a free consult form?

A deposit tells you she is serious, and it tells Facebook what a serious woman looks like. A free form teaches Facebook to find people who fill out forms. A deposit teaches it to find women who pay.
